The solution

The plastic tubes and films are made from plastic granules, which are sensitive to weather conditions. The supply, storage and protection of raw materials has become a strategic issue.

To ensure the quality and fluidity of production, it became vital to protect these raw materials. A 25 m-wide and 80 m-long storage shed was installed to cover all the plastic materials packaged in bags on pallets or in big bags on racks, sheltered from the elements.

To optimize production processes, the Leygatech and SHELTERALL® teams worked together at length to define an optimum storage and material flow solution.

To increase its storage capacity, Leygatech opted for an 11-meter-high ridge to store its materials on 8-meter-high racks.

Fully automated, quick-opening flexible doors were installed to handle the constant flow of forklift trucks within the industrial dome shelter.

Fully enclosed for perfect sealing and better conservation of raw materials, the hangar is ventilated through mesh half-moons.

The storage shed is made of white tarpaulin to ensure a uniform temperature (lower in summer and higher in winter), diffuse luminosity (+10% light transmission) and 15 dB noise reduction. As plastic granules are highly flammable, a fireproof tarpaulin was installed.
