The solution

The EUROVIA VINCI group used the SHELTERALL® teams to fully fit out the storage site.

In order to meet EUROVIA's batching requirements, 4 covered storage cells were installed to house 4 different qualities of aggregate. Each cell can house up to 2,000 tonnes of material.

For this project, four 15 m x 19 m SHELTERALL® structures were installed, creating a covered area of 1,140 m².

The extra-wide models offer very large storage volumes particularly suited to the storage of aggregate and asphalt aggregate. Covering the materials enhances the quality of the product, making it uniform (decreased humidity) and easier to work with.

To allow ventilation and drying of the stored materials, wind-break nets were installed on the rear gables of the sheds.

Half-moons also limit rain coming in from the front and rear of the building and thus provide a better protected storage space, without blocking the top part of the building.

The walls made of mobile concrete blocks are reinforced on two levels in order to increase the bulk height, and consequently the storage capacity of the cells. The 15 m model mounted on walls made of 4 m TOUTABLOC® concrete blocks has a height specifically suited to unloading and dumping. This option makes it possible to work safely and easily under the storage shed. The completely free-standing arch, without an inner beam, provides a 100% operational space.

As a specialist in bulk storage, the SHELTERALL® teams were able to offer bulk storage sheds designed to protect the materials and optimize the quality of the stored products. This large capacity storage solution allows EUROVIA to optimize its production and energy costs and lower its carbon footprint.
