2 SHELTERALL® 10 m x 16 m
The solution
Latteria Pievetta was the very first SHELTERALL® customer in Italy. The dairy farmer, Mr. Paolo Fellegara, was immediately won over by the high-quality and modular SHELTERALL® storage solutions.
Their first agricultural tunnel for fodder was installed in 2017. He has reaffirmed his trust and in recent years has purchased several storage tunnels for his fodder and his farm equipment. More recently, the SHELTERALL® teams assisted him with his methanization project. Concerned about the future of the agricultural sector, Latteria Pievetta opted for an agroecological solution enabling it to recycle its agricultural effluents and create a circular economy through the production of renewable energy. The farm uses the biogas that is produced for its own consumption.
It needed to create a storage area for manure to supply the new methanization plant. Mr. Paolo Fellegara was looking for a solution that was both economical and quick to install.
Our design department carried out an in-depth analysis to advise him on the wall height and the size of the sheds, in accordance with the amount of manure to be stored. An optimized offer for this tailor-made, highly economical project. Two methanization storage sheds, 10 m wide and 16 m long, were installed.
The tunnel buildings were mounted on concrete walls and fitted with internal protection sheets to protect the structure while manure is being handled with machinery. Half-moons were installed to protect stored materials from the elements.
To meet the growing needs of the farm, a 15 m fodder storage hangar will soon be installed.
The options for this project
- Half-moon
- Internal protection sheet
- Gutters
