The solution
In order to develop its big bag retail business, the Ensuès-La-Redonne quarry needed a covered storage area of around 280 m², located as close as possible to the production site.
The SHELTERALL® team drew on its expertise to advise them on the design and layout of the project and offer them a turnkey solution in accordance with Building Eurocodes standards. Lhoist opted for a turnkey solution with the Richel Group® Works division to optimize site supervision and set-up with peace of mind.
Our modular building solution was much more economical and quicker to implement than a traditional building. Our 60 cm percussion-driven anchors made it possible to install the storage shed on the existing asphalt platform without the need for foundations.
The 12 m x 24 m SHELTERALL® is closed at the back and fitted with a half-moon to protect materials from the elements.
Internal protection sheets were installed to create a rigid base and guide forklift truck operators during handling at the edge of the building. For palletized product storage projects, these sheets are used to protect the storage tunnel and improve the lifespan of the cover.
The Lhoist group has entrusted us with new projects to equip other sites in France and Spain: TOUTABLOC® concrete block walls for the storage of bulk aggregates and industrial hangars for ground storage of big bags.
"For the Ensuès-la-Redonne site, Lhoist urgently required a covered area of around 280 m² to store finished products for loading before shipping. With the standardized SHELTERALL® solution, we were able to rapidly respond to their needs and directly install the structure on the customer’s asphalt platform, without having to build foundations and wait for concrete to dry."
