TOUTABLOC® concrete blocks
At the end of 2023, AZUR VALORISATION, a subsidiary of Groupe Pizzorno and a key player in environmental services and the circular economy, launched an ambitious project to modernize and expand its waste sorting site.
The project aimed to efficiently sort and store waste awaiting recovery while minimizing disturbances caused by the strong winds of the PACA region. With the need to quickly and cost-effectively organize a 7,000 m² area for sorting and storing various materials (paper, cardboard, plastics, metals...), the goal was to create an optimized and secure space.
For this project, AZUR VALORISATION was won over by the innovative, tailor-made solution proposed by the SHELTERALL®-TOUTABLOC® teams: the installation of 253 linear meters of TOUTABLOC® concrete block walls at a height of 2.4 meters, creating distinct compartments for each type of material. To address the issue of waste dispersal, a 2.90-meter-high anti-scatter net structure was integrated into the walls, ensuring effective containment of lightweight materials with a 48 mm square mesh.
This solution, compliant with Eurocode Building standards, not only allows for quick installation without foundations but also offers future adaptability thanks to the mobility of the 80-series concrete blocks (2.4 tons).
« Nous sommes fiers d'avoir accompagné AZUR VALORISATION dans l’aménagement de son site de tri, en proposant une solution combinant blocs béton et filets anti-envols. Cette installation permet de trier et stocker efficacement les matières tout en répondant aux défis environnementaux liés à la dispersion des déchets légers. »
